Dolce & Gabbana dg4191 – my most mediterranean sunglasses

DG4191

Hi my dear glasses lovers! Today I want to show you my absolute favorite summer sunglasses by Dolce & Gabbana — the incredible DG4191. I simply adore these glasses. They’re lightweight, comfortable, bright, full of character… honestly, I could go on listing their virtues until morning.

I first spotted them on the runway at Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring/Summer 2013 show, but there they appeared in different color combinations. Here they are:

Later, I came across them in this blue-and-white version, and of course, I couldn’t resist. To me, blue and white is the most Mediterranean combination imaginable. By the way, I’d love to get myself a pair in one of those colors too. They looked incredibly stylish on the models — and so wonderfully summery.

There are actually other colors — there’s even a leopard-print version. If you’re curious, click here for the DG4191 sunglasses that are currently avaliable on eBay.

Whenever I travel somewhere on the Mediterranean, I take these sunglasses with me. They just belong here. Whitewashed houses, blue shutters, blue doors, tiles covered in blue patterns… it feels like the natural habitat of these glasses.

MY LOOK

I decided to add a few red accents to the outfit. I think the little red lobsters look fantastic against all that blue and white — I have them on my shirt and hanging from my ears. Red lipstick, of course. A little bag made of red beads. And red heels to finish it all off. I think the whole look turned out very Dolce & Gabbana — playful, feminine, colorful, and unapologetically Mediterranean.

I have a real soft spot for Dolce & Gabbana. I could watch their runway shows forever — all those colors, prints, textures and wonderfully over-the-top details feel like color therapy to me.

And very soon, I’m going to Italy! One thing I would absolutely love to do while I’m there is explore some of the famous Italian designer outlets and see what forgotten eyewear treasures might still be hiding there. Who knows — maybe another pair of Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses will come home with me.
